In any type of business, the most valuable ideas are those that make money, save money, save time, or improve the way things are done. Every improvement, however slight, is a step in the right direction. Being alert for opportunities to improve things is a function of a positive attitude. It is virtually impossible to think creatively about opportunities when your thoughts are concentrated on the downside risk instead of the upside potential. As you search for ways to improve your performance, or to find a better, faster, or more economical way to perform a task or build a product, by all means analyze and minimize the risks but focus on the possibilities.

Today’s action for success:

Can/Can’t. The opposites that do not attract! If you have a “can do” attitude, you are going places. If you have a “can’t do” attitude, you may as well not even show up for work. These two attitudes determine your success or failure in life. Knowing that you can succeed, predispositions you for success today and in the future. Why? Because you have assured yourself that you have the capacity to do what it is you intend to accomplish. This in itself is the best predictor of success. Knowing that you can because you have done it in the past, determines your next outcome as well. Be a believer—but most of all believe in yourself because you are your greatest asset.
